Angie Doyle Scar leads the efforts of the Office of Healthcare Transformation within the Iowa Department of Public Health. The OHCT’s prime focus is healthcare policy and is a key point-of-contact for the Affordable Care Act (ACA) related initiatives at IDPH including the Marketplace, Accountable Care Organizations, and Patient Centered Healthcare and other health reform initiatives. Angie came to this position after several years serving as the Statewide Hawk-i Outreach Coordinator at IDPH. Before her work at IDPH, Angie worked for the State Public Policy Group (SPPG) in Des Moines and focused on legislative policy, advocacy work and community grassroots outreach. Angie graduated from Upper Iowa University with a degree in Psychology and a Master’s in Public Health from Des Moines University.
