    Overview

    The goal of this annual interprofessional conference is to improve delivery of culturally sensitive and responsive health care to increasingly diverse patient populations.

    All other attendees* - $50
    Student** - $10

    *All other attendees include (but not limited to): Residents, Fellows, Dental Professionals, Allied Health Providers, Public Health 
    **Student is defined as an individual going to school full-time or part-time and not holding a current license to practice.

    The Communicating Data training series is designed to help public health professionals build their skills, knowledge, and confidence when it comes to interpreting and communicating data.

    This training will teach understanding of a health equity framework and how that framework applies to public health practice especially:

    • The use of quantitative and qualitative data to identify and describe health disparities
    • To interpret data on health disparities for actionable health equity impact
    • To use publicly available data resources to identify factors related to health equity, and 
    • To communicate health equity data to diverse audiences. 

    The format of this online training will be a combination of presentation, large group discussion, and small group activities.
