IPHA Board of DirectorsJacob Riley, SecretaryJake Riley, MS, is a Disease Prevention Specialist at Johnson County Public Health. This is his first position after graduating with a degree in epidemiology from the University of Iowa College of Public Health in 2014. As a Disease Prevention Specialist Jake is responsible for investigating outbreaks and cases of reportable disease that occur within Johnson County and was part of the team that partnered with the CDC to investigate and control the Iowa mumps outbreak in 2015. While communicable diseases are the main focus of this position, Jake also has experience with emergency preparedness, quality improvement, and PHAB accreditation. Jake has previously served as the co-chair for the education/programming committee with IPHA. |
